My name is Val. After 40 years working in the insurance industry, I retired in 2021 and launched my website cruiseonawhim.com. Now in my fun-tirement, I travel as much as I can and love to share about the places I’ve been to.

I currently reside on the island of Oahu in the State of Hawaii with my husband Wendell. I have two children. When I’m not traveling, you will find me on the golf course hacking away at a little white ball.
